........a 501(3c) non-profit status was acquired to facilitate an Equine Rescue Program dedicated to help horses in need. Shelter, food, daily care, medical treatment, foot care, education and qualified adoption services is Challenging Spirits focus. An extra emphasis is placed on the rescue and placement of Premarin mares and foals. The program also includes working with at-risk youth to introduce them to responsible horse ownership and rehabilitation.

Having experience operating a therapeutic riding program for 12 years has given me first handknowledge about connections between horses and children. The interaction has been beneficialand positive to both parties, and all those involved in the process.
